FDA Silicone Gasket, 1/8" thick
For possible use on some Anchor Hocking Heritage Series, Threshold (sold in Target), Choice (sold by Webstaurant) Glass jars

Anchor Hocking may have different varieties of glass jars. Please measure your lid and see if the following dimensions associated with each jar is accurate.

Since all these glass jars are very similar in look, I am no longer going to specify by size of the container. For example, the same Anchor Hocking lid may fit Anchor Hockings 3 quart jar as well as their 1 gallon jar

SO PLEASE WHATEVER GLASS JAR YOU HAVE START WITH MEASURING THE OUTSIDE DIAMETER.
The outside diameter measures  across the entire lid. Take your lid and turn it upside down and place on the table. Measure from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock across the entire lid.

NOW THE HARDER MEASUREMENT IS THE INSIDE DIAMETER. YOU CAN TRY 2 DIFFERENT METHODS.
1. There is part of the lid that fits into the jar. You will need to measure again from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock from the outer edges of the lip that goes into the jar.
2. Or take a piece of string and measure the circumference around the lip that goes into the jar. Divide by 3.14 and this will give you the inside diameter. Take a quick look at the video.

The more important measurement is the inside diameter. Let's say you measured your outside diameter to be 7" and your inside to be 5 1/2". Do not buy the 5 3/4" x 7". This will be too big. It will simply fall off. You would need to buy the 5 1/2" x 7". THIS IS ONLY AN EXAMPLE. You should be able to determine which is the appropriate seal to order. Your measurements will not be as far off as my example.

I have the following sizes:

A- Inside 4 1/4", Outside 5 3/4" (Normally used for the 1/2 gallon Anchor Hocking Heritage Jar Series)

B- Inside 5", Outside 7"

C- Inside 5 1/2", Outside 7" (Normally used for the 1 gallon Anchor Hocking Heritage Jar Series)

D- Inside 5 3/4", Outside 7"

E- Inside 5 5/8", Outside 8"

F-Inside 7 1/4", Outside 8 5/8" (Normally used for the 2 gallon Anchor Hocking Heritage Jar Series)

PLEASE VERIFY THE DIMENSIONS BEFORE ORDERING.

Seals go on the lid, they will not go into the jar. Please note that the edge of the lip that goes into the container is not straight when you look at it from the side view. The gasket is suppose to lay underneath this lip. The seals needs to fit snug around the lip. Since glass tolerances vary as does the rubber seal, you will not get a perfect fit. Some say that the seal may still be a little tight and curl, some say it's still too loose and falls off when you remove the lid, others may have better suction and when removing the lid the suction makes the seal come off the lid.  A WORK AROUND MAY BE TO PURCHASE SEPARATELY SOME FDA CLEAR SILICONE CAULK TO HOLD THE GASKET IN PLACE.

Seals are different sizes. They are not interchangeable.

No two lids are alike. There is variance to every one.

It will stop the rattling of glass on glass. Depending on the variance of the lid it may create enough suction to keep your items fresh. It is not guaranteed but you now have an option.

Made of FDA silicone manufactured in the USA.
